ACORN is an amateur dramatic society based in the Enfield district of North London. We present a pantomime and musical annually, with the profits from these productions donated to local charities such as Enfield Dyslexia Association, BEVAD, Enfield Deaf Childrens's Association, Waverly Gateway Club, Babywatch at Chase Farm Hospital and the local Cheshire Home on the Ridgeway. Since we were formed ACORN has donated over £57,000 to local
charities. At our 19th AGM in July 2008, a cheque for £2500 was presented to representatives of the Arnold House Leonard Cheshire Home (Charity No 218186) as a result of ‘Dick Whittington’ & ‘Just So’. This was gratefully received and will help to continue
their good work caring for the physically disabled in our local community.
We have an active social life and many extra activities to get involved in such as Face Painting, Backstage Work, Costumes and Drama Workshops. Why not join us for our next production?
Feel free to contact us for further information about the group and auditions for our current show.
