Social Events

We arrange at least one quiz night each year, as well as attending other group's quiz nights with the ACORN Team.

Other activites have included a karaoke disco evening, a line dancing event, trips to country cottages for the weekend and theatre outings at discounted rates! In the past these visits have included Sing-A-Long-A-Sound of Music (where members proved they were in good voice!), Mamma Mia, the Lion King and Anything Goes.

Very often after rehearsal, senior members may well adjourn to a local hostelry where they can relax for a short while after the excitement of the evening's rehearsal.

ACORN booked a curry house for our 2004 New Year's celebrations, and after our final dress rehearsal for "Beauty and the Beast" we relaxed and saw in the New Year surrounded by friends and food! Sometimes New Year celebrations will fall on our technical and dress rehearsal days!
