Social Events

We arrange at least one quiz night each year, BBQs as well as attending other group's quiz nights with the Acorn team.

Other activites have included a karaoke disco evening, a line dancing event, trips to country cottages for the weekend and theatre outings at discounted rates! In the past these visits have included Sing-A-Long-A-Sound of Music (where members proved they were in good voice!), Mamma Mia, the Lion King and Anything Goes.

Very often after rehearsal, senior members may well adjourn to a local hostelry where they can relax for a short while after the excitement of the evening's rehearsal.

On Thursday 17th December, over 70 members and friends of Acorn attended our first formal Christmas party at Trent Park Golf Club. Despite the first heavy snowfall of Winter (a sign of things to come?!) everyone made an effort to put on their glad rags and celebrate the festive season in true Acorn spirit. Many thanks to Janina Enes and her assistants for organising a terrific evening with great music in a beautifully decorated venue.
